It’s HCA. Ratio 1:6 with 1 scheduled tech for 30 patients, but more often than not, the tech was pulled to sit, leaving the nurses with primary care. Even when we had a tech, RNs did VS and everyone’s were done q4. VS had to be done at shift change during report, so report took FOREVER. I could not keep up, and my time-management skills are top-notch.

Staff isn't experienced or competent enough to care for sick patients so travelers are the ones taking those patients and teaching. No manager in the unit and the director doesn't take any travelers concerns about safety serious. The physicians are great and stay at the Bedside but it's still scary and there were many times I worried about my license
